Duo Concierto and Japanese film fest
ALL is set for DUO CONCIERTO, presented by the Arts Council tomorrow at 8 p.m., at the auditorium of the Marcelo Fernan Cebu Press Center. Featured artists are pianist Rudolf Golez and violinist Joseph Esmilla. They will play solo and as a duo.
The repertoire includes compositions by Brahms, Paganini, Liszt, Kreisler, Richard Strauss, and Gershwin-Heifetz. Those intereted to attend may call the Arts Council at 2330452 for reservations.
On Wednesday, July 20, the Cathedral Museum of Cebu will hold a fund-raising dinner for a cause to help in the renovation of its premises and improving the electrical wiring.
A missive comes from the event chairman Lino Jose Aguilar and museum director Rev. Msgr. Carlito Pono, noted by Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma that
informs us further:
“This would upgrade the safety of the museum and the enhancement of the place would assure its continued avowed mission to serve the cultural, historical and spiritual needs of the people.”
The event on July 20 is set for 6:30 p.m. at the Cebu Grand Convention Center-Majestic. Prominent members of the community have been invited to support the endeavor.

Wednesday, Aug 3, at 7 p.m. -“Climber’s High” (145 minutes).
Thursday, Aug 4, at 7 p.m. -“Yunagi City, Sakura Country” (118 minutes).
Friday, Aug 5, at 7 p.m. -“Villon’s Wife” (114 minutes).
On Saturday, Aug 6, three films will she shown: 1:30 p.m. -“The Summit: A Chronicle of Stones” (139 minutes); 4:30 p.m. -“Summer Days with Coo” (138 minutes); 7:30 p.m. -“One Million Yen Girl” (121 minutes).
Another three films will be shown on Sunday,
Aug. 7: 1:30 p.m. -“Your Friend” (125 minutes); 4:30 p.m. -a repeat of “Summer Days with Coo”; 7:30 p.m. -“Feel the Wind” (133 minutes).
