Mayor Lim orders suspension of classes in Manila
MANILA, Philippines—Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim has ordered the suspension of several classes on Monday as rains poured continuously in various places around the city.
In his Twitter post at 11:56 p.m. Sunday, Lim said “I ordered that classes from public preschool, elementary and highschool are suspended tomorrow.”
No announcement of similar suspension for colleges and universities has been ordered by the city mayor as of posting time.
Rains poured continuously on Sunday, due to Tropical Storm Gener (international codename Saola).
