THE Cebu Daily News Siloys will play an exhibition game against the Mabolo Community Basketball Association (MCBA) on Sunday at the Mabolo Sports Complex.
The hastily formed Siloys are looking for a decent outing against the more cohesive MCBA, which will be led by the group’s president, barangay Mabolo councilor Arnel Cui, and vice president Edward Ligas. Mabolo barangay captain Rey Ompoc is the group’s adviser.
After Sunday’s game, the Siloys plan to play more exhibition games against several ballclubs as part of their preparation for an MCBA tournament this September where it will play as a guest team.
CDN is composed of Edouard Illut, Neil Tecson, Atoy Lagunay, Johan Juntilla, Jay Labra, Tito Tan, Calvin Cordova, Brian Ochoa, Junjie Mendoza, Lito Tecson, Jonas Panerio, Dale Rosal, Sammy Yncierto and Reynald Tiro.
Aside from Cui and the hefty Ligas, the Jovy Lepiten-coached MCBA will also have Chief Insp. Romeo Santander, SPO1 Raymond Supatan, Tong Abelarde, Rolando Rita, Dante Orendain, Roland Menina, Edwin Yairs, Mckoy Sarvida, Roel Pistolante, Boyet Adlawan, Cris Ofqueria and Rozan Razon. /EDITORIAL ASSISTANT CALVIN D.
