Fire hits residential area in Makati
MANILA, Philippines – Fire gutted a residential block in Makati City early Friday, a National Capital Region Bureau of Fire Protection officer said.
Fire Officer 2 Hoover Moral said the fire that blazed through still unidentified number of houses along 16th Avenue, Barangay (village) East Rembo in Makati City started at 7:30 a.m. and reached third alarm before it was put out at 8:20 a.m.
No reports of casualties or injuries have reached their office, Moral said, adding that investigators have yet to determine other information on the incident.
Meanwhile, Laila Marcelo of Metropolitan Manila Development Authority advised motorists to take alternate routes as traffic was heavy at the northbound lane along Fort Bonifacio Global City to Bagong Ilog, C5 lane due to the fire.
