Marti memorial scrabble set
AN invitational scrabble tournament to commemorate the fourth death anniversary of Dr. Estrella Marti, a former president of the Cebu Scrabble Association, will be staged this Sunday at the Tenio residence in Banawa, Cebu City.
Dr. Marti, popular with her long time running radio program on health, was a national scrabble player and top board of many-time tri-media scrabble champion dyRF.
The upcoming tournament will be organized by the Cebu Scrabble Association and sponsored by Mrs. Fe C. Tenio, an officer of CSA and sister of Dr. Marti, Lamberto Castillo, Paz B. Pelaez and Vicente Marti and family.
Expected to join the competition will be Cebu’s top word wizards Teodoro Martus, Renante dela Cerna, Darth Eslao, Joel Toroy, Jullence Labalan and Jowar Ayuno./CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
