MANILA, Philippines—A man jumped to his death from the sixth level of a car park in a shopping mall in Pasay City Wednesday night, a police spokesperson told INQUIRER.net.
Chief Inspector Jenny Tecson of the Southern Police District said a man they had yet to identify jumped from the the south parking area of SM Mall of Asia at around 5 p.m.
She disclosed that a roving security guard told police that he had warded off the man at around 4:45 p.m. and that he saw the same man “peeping and hiding behind a concrete post” at the area shortly after he had told him off.
The security guard said that he was about to approach the man when a radio call interrupted him. Tecson said that the security guard had been told over the radio that a body had fallen on the pavement.
The SPD spokesperson said that the security guard identified the body as that of the man he had seen earlier. She said that they were still working to identify the body as they did not find any identification on him.
The victim was described to be around 25 to 28 years old, of fair complexion and wearing a white long-sleeved shirt, black pants and black leather shoes.
