THE MONUMENT of Jose Rizal in Luneta, Manila, is the tallest monument of the national hero in the country. Measuring 14 meters from the base to the tip of the obelisk or apex, it was completed in 1913, 17 years after Rizal’s execution. On the other hand, Rizal’s monument in Calamba has the tallest statue of the national hero at 6.7 meters.
