Game today:
Araneta Coliseum
6:45 p.m.- B-Meg vs. Rain or Shine

EXPECT a more physical and intense battle when the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters and the B-Meg Llamados collide in Game 2 of the 37th PBA Governors’ Cup best-of-seven finals today at the Araneta Coliseum.

The Painters drew first blood in the series by hacking out a 91-80 victory in Game 1 last Sunday.

That game was marred by several physical plays and the ejection of B-Meg head coach Tim Cone.

Cone was tossed late in the game after throwing a monobloc chair into the court. The American head coach, who was fined P3,400 for the infraction, complained that his players were hit several times but the Painters got away with it.

League commissioner Chito Salud said the physical plays in Game 1 was still within the rules on physical plays set by the league.

“No change at all. Obviously, there were clear fouls and violations that were not properly detected, but the level of physical contact that has been allowed and disallowed remains within the parameters set by the league,” Salud said in a pba.ph report. /Editorial assistant Calvin Cordova
