More than 40 teams to vie in Camella Futzal tourney

MORE than 40 teams will be seeing action in the Camella Football Club Take the Challenge Futzal Tournament 2012 this Saturday at the Lapu-Lapu City Sports Center.

The tournament is organized by the Camella Homeowner’s Community Sports Club-Mactan Island and the FC CAMELLANZ. It is sanctioned by the Pilipinas Futzal Association (PFA) based in Manila.

The event is themed “Building Community Camaraderie through Sports, Healthy Individuals for Healthy Community”.

The tournament will have six categories—Men’s and Ladies’ Open, boys under 17, boys 10, boys 12 and boys 14.

Seeing action will be teams from the University of San Carlos, Don Bosco, San Roque, Real Cebu, Benthel Asia, Don Bosco United, Innodata, and FC Camellanz, among others.

The tournament is sponsored by Coca Cola Bottling Company (PowerAde), the Lapu-Lapu City government via Mayor Paz Radaza and Vice Mayor Marcial Icong and the Maribago Bluewater. /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
