1 injured in Quezon City village fire

MANILA, Philippines—A man was injured when fire gutted a house in Quezon City Tuesday morning, a city fire officer said.

Fire Officer 3 Francisco Mabunga said Julio Santos sustained “minor” injuries in the blaze that hit a house on Road 3, Barangay (village) Pag-asa, at 9:45 a.m.

The fire, Mabunga said, reached third alarm before it was put out 15 minutes later, leaving roughly P1-million worth of damage to property.

Investigation showed that the fire started from a bedroom on the second floor, but investigators have yet to determine what caused the fire, Mabunga said.
