MANILA, Philippines—Three mild quakes were recorded in different parts of the country Tuesday morning, the Philippine Volcanology and Seismology reported.
The first quake was recorded at 1:34a.m., 55 kilometers southwest of San Narciso in Zambales. It had a depth of one kilometer and was tectonic in origin.
Within 34 kilometers southwest of Guiauan, Eastern Samar, a quake with 3.4 magnitude at 10:01 a.m. It was tectonic in origin and had a depth of nine kilometers.
Also, a 4.7 magnitude quake was reported 88 kilometers northeast of Mati, Davao Oriental. It was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 63 kilometers. Intensity 3 was felt in Mati and Compostela in Compostela Valley, Phivolcs said.
No damage was noted and no aftershocks were expected from these quakes.
