2 HURT IN CEBU CITY STABBINGS
TWO men were injured in separate stabbing incidents in Cebu City over the weekend.
Leonito Tagutungan, a 35-year-old scrap buyer, was stabbed and wounded by his neighbor in barangay Bulacao.
The suspect, a certain Bobby, fled after the attack.
Police said Tagutungan went to Bobby’s house and asked him to pay the silver necklace that he bought from him worth P200.
Bobby got irked, took a knife and stabbed Tugutungan in the chest.
The victim rushed home and was brought to a hospital.
In barangay Kinasang-an, a 40-year-old taxi driver was stabbed in his sleep by a neighbor.
Roel Pritos sustained stab wounds in the chest and left hand.
The suspect, Jose Rañola, remains at large, said police.
Pritos was stabbed while sleeping on a bamboo bed about three meters away from his rented house.

MANDAUE FIRE
A TWO-STORY house was damaged by a fire in barangay Cambaro, Mandaue City.
Electrical short circuit may have caused the fire, said FO3 Nilo Cosido of the Mandaue City Fire Department.
The house is owned by Dominica Limpag, 35.
The fire was immediately contained after it was reported at 12:48 p.m. yesterday.
