Tesda urges BPOs to register their training program

Announces in its effort to increase employment rate, government-run vocational and training school is offering training programs for business processing outsourcing (BPO) companies.

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) urged BPO companies to register their training program for ‘near-hires.’

Upon registration, the state-run skills development school will accredit the trainers and offer free scholarships for the training of almost-hired applicants.

All registered companies will benefit from the training for work scholarship program.

Tesda will also qualify and certify the pool of trainers to ensure their competency in developing the skills of near-hire applicants by developing their teaching techniques, teaching skills and the proper principles to be effective leaders.

This is part of Tesda’s goal to make all skills trainers become holders of national technical vocational education and training trainer’s certificate (NTTC) to improve the quality of education and Filipino employees in BPO companies.

On Sept. 30, all trainers in all vocational courses should be certified by Tesda.

Tesda-7 will be offering a trainers training on July 25 for BPO companies including call center, animation and programming companies.

The Tesda certification is valid for five years.
