Clarification

The sub-head “Demolition was illegal, says judge who ordered it” on the story headlined “Davao judge ‘shoots’ the sheriff” which appeared on the Second Front Page of the July 9 issue may have created the wrong impression that Regional Trial Court Executive Judge Isaac Robillo was the one who issued the demolition order. The court order was issued by Davao RTC Branch 16 Judge Emmanuel Carpio. Our apologies.
