Intramuros eases rules for professional cameras
Photographers and camera enthusiasts can now use their professional cameras in Intramuros, Manila without the need to first secure a permit, the Department of Tourism (DOT) said on Sunday.
“The historic Walled City of Intramuros is welcoming photographers, camera enthusiasts, and hobbyists alike to capture its centuries-old beauty through a new policy allowing the use of professional cameras for personal and souvenir photography without a permit,” it said in a Facebook post.
The DOT added that the initiative is led by the Intramuros Administration and camera store CameraHaus.
It said that lifting permits for professional photography “aims to make heritage photography more accessible and encourage photographers to share the stories of Intramuros through their lenses.” —DIANNE RAINE U. SAMPANG
