Special children plant trees

CHILDREN with Down Syndrome participated in a tree planting activity organized by the Down Syndrome Association of the Philippines Inc. (DSAPI) Cebu Chapter, in partnership with Cebu Holdings Inc., last July 14 at Phase 3 of Cebu Business Park.

Joel Baclayon, City Agriculturist, gave a short lecture on the proper way to plant and nurture the trees. After the activity, the children were given seedlings which they can plant at home.

DSAPI Cebu Chapter is composed of parents of children with Down Syndrome, their friends and relatives, as well as medical and special education practitioners.

Its programs include parent support and development, education, conferences and seminars and public awareness.
