SWU orients freshmen, transferees

SOUTHWESTERN University president Dr. Elsa Suralta welcomed the new students into the university on July 7 at the Aznar Coliseum.

The school’s freshmen and transferees were briefed about their rights and responsibilities as students in school.

The afternoon long discussion covered topics like financial responsibilities of the students, scholarship and tuition fee discounts and health and library services.

The event also featured a raffle draw with university souvenir stuffs as prizes.

FEATURED STORIES

The SWU dance troupe, SWU chorale, SWU theater company and Himig performed intermission numbers, enabling the audience to know the talents of students.

An open forum followed where the new Southwesterners hurled questions at the university administrators.

The gathering ended with a remark by Pierre Infante, the director for Alumni Affairs.
