POLICE arrested three motorcycle-riding suspects who robbed and stabbed a 34-year-old woman in barangay Mactan, Mandaue City, on Sunday.
Robbery charges will be filed against Ike Brigoli, 23; Mel Eyas, 21; and Jolito Pagobo, 31—all from Lapu-Lapu City, who are now detained at the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office.
The bag, P5,000 cash and a cell phone of Maribeth Amit of barangay Ibabao Basak, Lapu-Lapu City, were recovered from the suspects.
Initial investigation showed that the victim walked in the area at 10 p.m. when the suspects stopped beside her.
One of the suspects then declared a holdup but the victim resisted prompting the back-rider to disembark and stab her twice in the back. They took her bag and fled.
Bystanders brought the victim to the Lapu-Lapu District Hospital and reported the incident to the police.
