Calltek’s streak snapped
FOLLOWING three straight wins, the Calltek Trojans crashed back to earth after yielding to the Xlibris Publishers, 47-58, last Sunday in the 2011 Powerade E-League for Basketball at the City Sports Club-Cebu Gym.
Posting back-to-back wins, the Publishers climbed to 5-4 (win-loss) while pulling the Trojans down to second place with their second loss in seven games.
Sergs Al Go Bui spearheaded the Publishers with 19 points and nine rebounds, while Aerl Genebraldo and Christian Judilla combined for 29 points for the Trojans, who went into the game as one of the league-leaders.
While Calltek lost grip of the lead, the Stream Blue Devils earned a piece of the leadership after they trashed the Accenture Sharks, 89-63.
The Lexmark Stallions, meanwhile, stayed close with the leaders by pocketing their fourth win in five outings via a lopsided 79-36 trashing of the Kyocera Frontiers./EDITORIAL ASSISTANT CALVIN D. CORDOVA
