OWWA-7 accepting scholarship applications

THE Overseas Workers Welfare Administration in Central Visayas (OWWA-7) is accepting applications for the Education for the Development Scholarship Program (EDSP) for next school year.
EDSP is offered to dependents of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) who will enroll in 4-5 year college degree courses.
Qualified applicants will receive a financial assistance of P30,000 per semester or a maximum of P60,000 per school year.
The program is open to all high school graduating students who are children of OFWs or brothers or sisters of single OFWs and below 21 years old.
The OFW-parent or OFW-brother/sister however, must be an active OWWA member.
Applicants will undergo the national qualifying examination to be administered by the Department of Science and Technology.
The deadline for submission of applications is Aug. 31.
