Man shot dead in Moalboal

A 55-YEAR-OLD man was shot dead while he was fetching water outside his house in barangay Basdiot, Moalboal town, southern Cebu.

Alejandro Nacar took a bullet shot in the head.

Nacar’s s 52-year-old wife Leonora told police that she was inside their house when a gunshot rang out past 8 p.m last Wednesday. The woman rushed outside and saw her bloodied husband slumped on the ground.

Insp. Henry Orbiso, chief of the Badian police, said they were still investigating possible motives in the killing.

Orbiso said Nacar argued with a neighbor last Tuesday about their water connection.

The water line of the Nacars and three neighbors are connected to another neighbor. It was learned that Alejandro’s water line had to be cut, said Orbiso./REPORTER RHEA RUTH V. ROSELL
