A MAN who had just posted bail for an illegal drug case was arrested again after he was allegedly caught sniffing shabu inside a hut in barangay Poblacion, Argao town, southern Cebu.
Police said three .357 revolvers, one .22 magnum revolver, bullets for various firearms, four medium sachets and an empty sachet with residue of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia and P3,500 cash were seized when Allan Ortiz, 48, was arrested in his hut in sitio Looc around 11 a.m. yesterday.
Members of the Argao police rushed to sitio Looc after receiving a tip that someone was sniffing shabu in a hut, said Insp. Alejandro Batobalonos, chief of Argao police.
Batobalonos said Ortiz was detained at the Argao police precinct for an illegal drug case. He posted bail last June 26.
Batobalonos said Ortiz has been selling illegal drugs for more than two years and was arrested twice in the past.
Batobalonos said that according to Ortiz, the seized unlicensed firearms were a form of payment for illegal drugs./REPORTER RHEA RUTH V. ROSELL
