All systems go for 12th Cesafi

SAVE FOR A FEW disqualifications due to academic issues, it’s all systems go for the 12th season of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. basketball tournament as the final lineups in the seniors and juniors divisions were revealed to the press yesterday by league commissioner Felix Tiukinhoy.

The teams that suffered minor setbacks were the two-time reigning champions University of Cebu, the University of San Carlos and the University of Southern Philippines-Foundation.

UC guard Edelito Cabahug, USC power forward Garrick Ayala and USPF guard, Junrey Nudalo, will not be seeing action this season because of academic deficiencies.

However, the rest of the teams are primed for battle once the league draws its curtains on July 29./Correspondent Jonas Panerio
