MANILA, Philippines—The police may have admitted enjoying millions in Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) money but the military is claiming it never received a centavo.

“From past and present Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) budget and finance officers, the AFP has never been a recipient of PCSO funds,” said the AFP spokesperson Commodore Miguel Rodriguez.

He said the information came from three military budget and finance officers.

On Monday, the Philippine National Police admitted it kept at least six PCSO accounts, only two of which remained active, to finance specific projects such as to buy weapons and equipment, among other purposes.
