/ 07:47 AM July 11, 2011

THE local government unit of Corella in Bohol held its first walk for a cause last July 2 with nearly 500 participants.

The three-kilometer walk started from the municipality’s landmark, the Tarsier sanctuary in barangay Canapnapan, to the municipal hall.

The event, initiated by municipal health officer Dr. Rogelio Felias with the support of town Mayor Jose Nicanor Tocmo in celebration of July Nutrition Month, was attended by municipal and barangay officials, including barangay tanods, barangay health workers, barangay nutrition scholars, day care workers and community members.

The money generated from the registration will be used to fund the health needs of the indigents in the municipality. /contributed by Merrian Piquero Soliva
