Kanlaon Volcano emits ash
MANILA, Philippines — Kanlaon Volcano in Negros Island emitted ash past noon on Sunday, said the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
According to Phivolcs in an advisory, the Kanlaon Volcano emitted ash at exactly 1:12 p.m.

“The event generated a grayish plume that rose 150 meters above the summit crater before getting drifted by strong winds to the southeast,” Phivolcs said.

Meanwhile, Alert Level 2 remains raised over the volcano.
