LIST: Cancelled flights affect 771 passengers on Aug. 19, says Caap

MANILA, Philippines – Nearly 780 passengers are affected after five flights were canceled on Wednesday morning amid inclement weather brought by the southwest monsoon, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (Caap) said.

Below are the canceled flights so far:

Cebu Pacific Air

• 5J 472: Bacolod-Manila, 203 passengers
• 5J 192: Manila-Cauayan, 137 passengers
• 5J 193: Cauayan-Manila, 155 passengers
• 5J 508: Manila-Tuguegarao, 124 passengers
• 5J 509: Tuguegarao-Manila, 152 passengers.

Apart from the canceled flights, there were five more flights affected by the weather.

Central Airlines flight HLF9849 from Zhuhai, China to Clark, Pampanga had a missed approach upon landing.

Meanwhile, the following flights had to reattempt landing due to “negative visual of the runway.”

Philippine Airlines

• PAL111: Guam-Manila

Cebu Pacific Air

• 5J 384: Cagayan de Oro-Manila

Air Philippines Corporation

• GAP2520: Cagayan de Oro-Manila

In the afternoon, Caap announced two more flights affected by bad weather.

Cebgo flight SRQ6789 from Panglao, Bohol to Davao missed its landing approach, while Philippine Airlines flight GAP2688 from Clark to Basco, Batanes was diverted back to Clark. /mr /apl
