THE Limasawa Customs Brokerage shocked highly favored Green, 74-73, Thursday night in the ongoing tune-up games of the Customs-3rd Major Alfonso Abbariao Cup-2012 Biggest Loser basketball tournament at the Basak San Nicolas gym.
The Brokers took a, 23-20 lead in the opening quarter behind Taks Moral and Mel Petracorta and a, 41-34, advantage at the half.
But Jingjing Rama teamed-up with Noel Medalle, Boodie Monteño and Abatar Javellana in outscoring Limasawa, 22-15 in the third to forge a, 56-all tie entering the final quarter.
The final period was just as close with Green taking a, 73-72 lead on Noel Medalle’s jumper with 30 seconds remaining in regulation. But Francis Palero answered with his own fade-away jumper with nine seconds left to peg the final tally.
Taks Moral and Francis Palero led Limasawa Brokers with 22 and 13 points, respectively while Boodie Monteño and Noel Medalle paced Green with 17 points apiece.
Earlier, Blue nipped Majos Survivor, 72-68 with Bong Mabalo scoring 21 points while Jovanie Mondin paced Majos with 20 markers.
