Free movies on PH-Japan Friendship Month

THE Embassy of Japan in the Philippines and the Japan Foundation, Manila will celebrate the Philippine-Japan Friendship Month this July, in commemoration of Japan-Friendship Day on July 23.

The Japanese Film Festival 2012 (EigaSai 2012) will highlight the celebration throughout the country.

The festival, featuring 10 contemporary films from respected Japanese film makers, will be held at the Shangri-La Plaza Mall Mandaluyong Cinema 4 from July 5 to July 15, UP Diliman Film Institute from Aug. 15 to 21, Davao Gaisano South Citimall on July 20-22 and Ayala Center Cebu Cinema 4 from Aug. 7 to Aug. 12.

The “Japan Day” will also be held on July 21 and 22 at the SM Mall of Asia to allow visitors to discover the Japanese contemporary pop culture.
