BALANGA CITY, Bataan — Parts of six towns in Bataan were flooded Saturday afternoon due to incessant rains triggered by the southwest monsoon or “habagat."

BALANGA CITY, Bataan — Parts of six towns in Bataan were flooded Saturday afternoon due to incessant rains triggered by the southwest monsoon or “habagat.”

Hardest hit was Hermosa, where knee-high floodwaters submerged portions of Barangays Sto. Cristo, Daungan, San Pedro and Cataning.

In Mariveles, residents of Barangays San Isidro and Ipag were seen wading through up to 3 feet of murky floodwater flowing down from the mountains.

In Balanga, rivers in remote villages swelled as runoff cascaded from the mountains.
