Baggao, Cagayan suspends classes until Thursday due to ‘Maymay’

Cagayan Vice Governor Manuel Mamba has been placed under preventive suspension for 90 days while he undergoes trial before a court for a graft case. 

TUGUEGARAO CITY- The mayor of Baggao, Cagayan has ordered the suspension of classes in all levels in public and privstr schools from 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 5 until Thursday, August 6 due to the threat of Tropical Storm Maymay (international name: Kujira)

Mayor Leonardo Pattung said the suspension is due to possible heavy downpour and strong winds triggered by the typhoon.

He urged villagers to stay at home and wait for official announcements on weather updates and from the disaster risk reduction management office.
