Second Fitfil Fitness camp starts July 25 at Parkmall

AFTER its successful initial two-month run last May and June at the Ayala Center Cebu, Fitfil Fitness camp will return to Cebu on July 25 to Aug. 25 at the Parkmall in Mandaue City.

The camp will be led by Biggest Loser contestant Alan Choachuy and renowned fitness and athletic coach Jim Saret.

A tougher challenge awaits participants for this edition of the Fitfil Camp which aims to encourage those who have weight problems to start losing their excess pounds by joining the scientifically programmed circuit exercise training that guarantees results.

Choachuy will limit the second camp to a hundred participants because of the limited space available in the venue.

In the first edition of the fitness bootcamp, Saret and Choachuy with the help of their chosen athletic and sports coaches and the rest of the Biggest Loser contestants, were able to draw 230 participants.

“We will be giving the participants for this edition a different kind of circuit training which involves different kinds of sports for optimum results,” said Choachuy at yesterday’s official event launching at the Shabu-Way Restaurant in Parkmall. He was joined by coaches Peter Burdador, Bulacao Councilor and basketball coach Edelio Abellanosa and yoga expert Erwina Carillo.

Choachuy is planning to include Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) training for the five-week camp.

“We were so glad because after the first staging of this event, we received a lot of positive feedbacks and a lot of satisfied participants who are looking to participate again,” said Choachuy.

The fitness camp will be a theme-based workout about the kind of sport to be exercised for the day. Saret will still spearhead the fitness camp.

Registration opened last July 9 at the Parkmall. Registration fee is P1,500 for 12-15 sessions and P2,500 for the complete 30 sessions. Choachuy encouraged those who have weight problems to join the camp for them to become fit and join Saret’s advocacy of making a million Filipinos fit and healthy. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
