Fire hits residential block in Tramo, Pasay

MANILA, Philippines – A fire raged through a residential block on Tramo Street in Pasay City Wednesday afternoon, the local fire department said.

Radio operator Senior Fire Officer 2 Bernardo Bermejo said the fire reached the Task Force Bravo alarm level past 5 p.m. before city fire marshal Chief Inspector Douglas Guiyab declared it under control at 6 p.m.

He said the fire, which was reported to authorities at 3:04 p.m., spread quickly as the houses there were made mostly of combustible materials.

No casualties have been recorded so far. Bermejo added that investigators were still conducting interviews and scouring through the fire scene to establish what caused the blaze.
