Bread vendor shot dead in Bukidnon
VALENCIA CITY, Bukidnon — A 36-year-old bread vendor died after being shot by a man who was allegedly venting his rage following a domestic dispute in Sitio Salumayag, Barangay Halapitan of San Fernando town on Thursday morning, July 23.
The victim, whose identity is being withheld pending full notification of relatives, was making his daily rounds on a motorcycle around 8:50 a.m. when he was flagged down and shot without provocation.
He sustained a severe gunshot wound to the right side of his body and was rushed to the Bukidnon Provincial Hospital, where attending physicians pronounced him dead at 3:09 p.m.

According to initial findings by the San Fernando Municipal Police Station, the 32-year-old male suspect had just engaged in a heated argument with his wife.
Agitated and enraged, the suspect left his home, walked to the roadside with an improvised firearm, and targeted the unsuspecting vendor as he drove past.
Responding police officers led by Capt. Gregorio Daguno III secured the crime scene while the Bukidnon Provincial Forensic Unit gathered physical evidence.
The suspect fled toward nearby mountainous terrain immediately after the shooting.
San Fernando police, together with neighboring units, have launched hot pursuit and dragnet operations to track down the suspect.
