Bracelet stolen

Two men posing as medical attendants stole the gold bracelet of a woman in Talisay City last Sunday.

Sabena Plaza of barangay Dumlog told police that the two men introduced themselves as medical assistants to check on her blood pressure.

But as they tried to check her blood pressure, Plaza said she suddenly felt dizzy and lost consciousness.

When she came to, she found that she lost the gold bracelet she was wearing, which she claimed to be worth P40,000.

Suspect nabbed

A suspect in the rape of a 14-year-old girl two years ago was arrested in San Remigio town in northern Cebu last Friday.

Ponciano Maglasang Jr. was arrested in barangay Lambusan, San Remigio town.

SPO3 Graciano Tan II, one of the arresting officers, said Regional Trial Court Judge Ester Veloso issued the arrest warrant against Maglasang, who’s facing rape charges.

Tan said an informant told him that Maglasang, who used to be a motorcycle for hire driver in the town returned to San Remigio after he was accused of rape.

Minor caught

A security guard of the Lagtang Public market caught a 17-year-old boy who was trying to steal goods in one of the stalls there last Sunday evening.

Cipriano Abe, 53, security guard told police that he caught the boy as he tried to enter the stall by destroying the wall of the stall in the public market in barangay Lagtang, Talisay City.
