A 50-year-old woman who allegedly had been selling illegal drugs for 10 years was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in barangay Mabolo, Cebu City.
Epifania Limatug allegedly sold two small packs of suspected shabu to an agent of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Central Visayas (PDEA-7) who acted as a poseur buyer.
The transaction happened past noon last Saturday outside the woman’s house on Juan Luna Street.
The PDEA-7 said 23 small packs of suspected shabu placed in a small plastic canister were found tucked in the woman’s waist.
IO2 Jelou Anthony Paca of the PDEA-7 said Limatug’s arrest came after a month’s surveillance.
IO2 Paca said Limatug did not resist arrest and that she admitted she was involved in selling illegal drugs.
Limatug was detained at the PDEA-7 office pending the filing of charges against her.
