BOY FOUND HANGING DEAD

A 17-YEAR-OLD boy was found hanging dead in his house in barangay Marigondon, Lapu-Lapu City.

The boy was found by his father suspended from the ceiling of a toilet around 1 p.m. last Saturday.

A nylon rope was found looped around his neck and the other end tied to the wooden beam.

The father told police that his son may have felt bad after he was accused by a relative of stealing a cell phone. The boy denied the accusation.

The father said his son looked very sad when he last saw him alive at 11:30 a.m.

The father untied his son and rushed him to the Mactan Doctor’s hospital but the attending doctor declared the boy dead.

MAN SHOT BY 2 BRODS

A 21-YEAR-OLD man was shot and wounded allegedly by two brothers in barangay Tabok, Danao City, northern Cebu yesterday.

Edgar Condevillamar was wounded in the left side of the body. The man was recuperating in a Cebu City hospital.

Police said the suspects, brothers Roldan and Bonet Inojales, fled after the attack.

Police are still investigating the motive behind the attack.

Police said Edgar attended a disco in barangay Taytay last night. He and his younger brother Jerome were walking home when he was shot by the suspects who were on a motorcycle.

CABBIE FOUND DEAD

A 41-YEAR-OLD taxi driver was found dead in a taxicab in barangay Basak, Lapu-Lapu City.

Police said there were no signs of foul play in the death of Fabian Pilari, a resident of Cebu City. His belongings and earnings were intact when he was found lifeless by another taxi drover Sammy Antig past 6 a.m. yesterday.

Antig told police that he tried to wake up Pilari but he did not respond.

An ambulance brought Pilari to Lapu-Lapu City Hospital but the attending doctor declared him dead.

MAN KILLED IN BIKE CRASH

A CIVILIAN anti-crime volunteer was killed in a motorcycle crash in barangay Bahay, Sibonga town, southern Cebu.

Police identified the fatality as Manuel Quinto, a 28-year-old member of the Barangay Intelligence Network (BIN) in barangay Tubod.

Police said it was possible that Quinto was drunk during the incident which happened past 4 p.n last Saturday.

Police said Quinto was driving at high speed when he lost control of the motorcycle in a curved portion of the road.

The motorcycle rammed into concrete plant boxes lined up at the roadside.

NEW POLICE

RECRUITS TAKE OATH

NEW police recruits took their oaths before Chief Supt. Marcelo Garbo, director of the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7) last week.

It was the first time as PRO-7 chief that Garbo administered the oath-taking of the new police recruits.

After the oath-taking, the 325 new police recruits were sent to barangay Gaas in Balamban town, Cebu for a six-month training.

After the training, the new recruits will undergo field training program.
