Handcuffed man found dead in Quezon City

MANILA, Philippines—A man was found dead, with a his hands cuffed and with a placard bearing the words “Snatcher ako!! Wag tuluran (I’m a snatcher. Don’t be like me),” at the corner of Banahaw and Batay streets in Quezon City early Sunday, a police report said.

Senior Police Officer 1 Eric Lazo of the Quezon City Police District said they have not identified the victim who was found around 3:50 a.m. by roving barangay (village) officers. Lazo said the placard was found in his clothes.

He described the victim to be between 25 and 30 years old, of medium build, with fair complexion, and wearing a red long-sleeved shirt and a pair of jeans.

The victim also bore tattoos on his body, including “BCJ” and “Henry Cornejos” on his right knee and “NOH128” on his stomach.

Police said the victim was killed in the same spot where he was found.

He had gunshot wounds in the head and body, and was shot with a small firearm, a .25-cal. handgun, police said.
