DZRH to feature ex-rebs’ success stories
Major General Eduardo del Rosario, commander of the Army’s 2nd Infantry Division, has signed a memorandum of agreement with Manila Broadcasting Co. officials led by president Ruperto S. Nicdao Jr., CFO Eduardo Cordova and Rudolph Jularbal, vice president, for the airing of radio dramas about successful rebel returnees and the heroism of soldiers. The 2nd Infantry Division will provide the material for “Ito ang Katotohanan,” a 30-minute soap opera which will air on Norberto “Bing” Formento’s “Abot-Kamay” program at 9:30 p.m. on dzRH on Saturdays. The first two episodes will feature Jennilyn Pizzaro Espinosa and Eleonor Orgena, young mothers from Quezon who were recruited into the New People’s Army but eventually returned to civilian life.
Forum on happiness
The Brahma Kumaris will hold a forum on “Choose Happiness” at 6:30 p.m., July 11, in the Topaz Ballroom at Gateway Suites in Cubao, Quezon City. Two resource speakers will share their experiences on the topic. One of them, Dr. Nirmala Kajaria, a meditation teacher over the last 40 years, believes that one can adjust one’s mental outlook to find peace and happiness. She is the director of Brahma Kumaris centers in the Asia Pacific region. Charlie Hogg, international lecturer, motivational speaker and director of Brahma Kumaris Raja Yoga centers in Australia, will share the power of meditation as a tool for maintaining mental, emotional and spiritual health.
