LIST: Canceled flights due to magnitude 7.8 Mindanao earthquake
MANILA, Philippines — Seventeen flights were canceled as of 11 a.m. on Monday as a precautionary measure following a magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck Maasim, Sarangani, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP).

- 5J4844 – General Santos to Iloilo
- 5J998 – General Santos to Manila
- 5J993 – Manila to General Santos

- 5J995 – Manila to General Santos
- 5J996 – General Santos to Manila
- 5J249 – Cebu to General Santos
- 5J250 – General Santos to Cebu
- 5J991 – Manila to General Santos
- 5J992 – General Santos to Manila
PAL Express (4 flights)
- 2P2357 – Cebu to General Santos
- 2P2358 – General Santos to Cebu
- 2P2455 – Manila to General Santos
- 2P2456 – General Santos to Manila
Philippine Airlines (2 flights)
- PR453 – Manila to General Santos
- PR454 – General Santos to Manila
Earlier, Caap also temporarily suspended the operations at General Santos International Airport and issued a Notice to Airmen to take effect from 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m.

It is a safety advisory given to pilots and flight operators to alert them of sudden or temporary hazards or route changes in airspace.
The earthquake was initially reported at magnitude 7.0 but was later upgraded to 7.8 by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology. /mr
HELP MINDANAO EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS
The Inquirer Foundation is calling for support for communities devastated by the recent magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck Mindanao.
In partnership with the Philippine Red Cross, the foundation is amplifying appeals for food, clean water and other critical assistance for affected families.
Donors may send contributions directly to the Philippine Red Cross through its official transfer channels, the complete list is available on the PRC’s Facebook page.
The Philippine Red Cross has activated its emergency fund campaign and deployed teams on the ground to provide medical services, distribute relief goods and extend psychosocial support to affected families.
