MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Depression Ester exited the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on Saturday morning, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported in its 10 a.m. bulletin.

“As of 8:00 AM today, 06 June 2026, Tropical Depression “ESTER” (formerly LPA [low pressure area] 06a) has exited the monitoring domain of PAGASA and is now outside the Philippine area of responsibility,” Pagasa said.

Ester was spotted some 540 kilometers north-northeast of Itbayat, Batanes at 8 a.m., with a maximum wind speed of 45 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 55 kph, while moving east-northeast at 20 kph.

Meanwhile, based on Pagasa’s heavy rainfall outlook issued at 11 a.m., the following areas will experience moderate to heavy rainfall (50 to 100 millimeters) from Saturday to Sunday noon:

  • Ilocos Norte
  • Ilocos Sur
  • La Union
  • Pangasinan
  • Zambales

Moderate to heavy rainfall will continue to prevail over Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur from Sunday noon to Monday noon.  /gsg
