Lapu strafing victim laid to rest

THE mother who was killed in a strafing incident in barangay Mactan last week was burried at the Humay-Humay Cemetery in arangay Gun-ob, Lapu-Lapu City yesterday noon.

Prima Paquibot Aying, 42 was hit by bullets when she stood up to ran to the room where her 4 children were sleeping when a volley of gunfire hit their house in barangay Mactan early morning last June 28.

Neighbors, relatives and friends  expressing their sympathy to her relatives, her husband Jerome Aying Sr. and their five of his children.

The police were escorting the victim’s family to ensure their safety.

Demetrio Malingin, the principal suspect in the killing earlier threatened to kill all members of Jerome Aying’s family.

The capture of the two other suspects namely Rosie Dilao and Cyril Zamora the following day may have prevented the carrying out of Demetrio’s plan.

Chief Insp. Conrado Manatad said, they will continue to send police partols to their residence to prevent any more vendetta in the longstanding conflict between Aying’s family the Malingins.

Demetrio Malingin, Jay Malingin and Deo Malingin are still at large and pice are still hunting them as they believe they are still in Lapu-Lapu city.

Police investigators say that Demetrio is involved in the illegal drugs trade and was identified with the notorious drug figure Alex Oyao.
