2nd Sogod Triathlon set
TRIATHLETES will once again have a chance to further hone their craft as the 2012 2nd Sogod Mayor Monyeen Durano Triathlon Cup unfurls on July 14 at the Alegre Beach Resort.
The event will be the last major triathlon race before the Aug. 5 Cobra Energy Drink Ironman 70.3 Philippines, which will start and end at the Shangri-La Mactan Resort and Spa.
Those interested can sign up until July 12 either at the Active Zone in Ayala or Rudy Project Ayala branch.
The race in Sogod will feature the standard distance of 1.5-kilometer swim, 40-km bike and 10-km run as well as a half distance.
With the emerging popularity of the SuperTriKids, the event will also have an STK category.
Duathletes will also be welcomed as a duathlon will also be held covering the 5-km run, 40-km bike, 5-km distance as well as a half distance.
