Timex Philippines Inc. was elevated to the Hall of Fame by the Philippine Economic Zone Authority for winning the outstanding community project award for three consecutive years.
The award was in recognition of TMX’s efforts in helping the community through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs focusing on education, community development, environmental care and protection and socio-economic involvement.
Through the Department of Education’s Adopt-A-School Program, TMX Philippines adopted two schools in Lapu-Lapu City, the Pajo Elementary School and Lo-ok Elementary School. It provided infrastructure and scholarship grants.
TMX also worked with Integrated Midwives Association of the Philippines (IMAP) – Cebu Chapter to improve family planning and maternal health and child care in identified depressed communities in Cebu.
In partnership with Coastal Conservation and Education Foundation, Inc (CCEF Inc.), thousands of mangroves were planted every year in different locations in Cebu and Mactan.
TMX Philippines also worked with the Philippine Business for Social Progress in preserving the forest to protect Buhisan watershed – the major source of water for Cebu City and neighboring metropolis.
