Laguna Water partners with BSP to solidify commitment to SDGs

MANILA, Philippines — Laguna Water signed a memorandum of agreement with the Boy Scouts of the Philippines-Laguna Council to strengthen its sustainable development programs.
The partnership will give scouts volunteer opportunities in Laguna Water’s environmental programs, including Pasibol, the company’s tree nurturing program.
BSP volunteers will help plant trees, prepare and maintain planting sites, join cleanup drives and attend learning sessions.

“Our partnership with BSP is a testament to our commitment to contribute to the achievements of the sustainable development goals. The scouts’ participation in Pasibol will improve the monitoring of the trees we planted and in ensuring their survival.
“On the other hand, we are hopeful that the volunteer opportunities that we provide will serve as learning opportunities for the holistic development of our scouts,” Lheizel De Jesus, Laguna Water Regulatory Affairs Head, shared.
The signing of the agreement was conducted during BSP’s National Court of Honor ceremony which aims to recognize outstanding scouts across cities and municipalities in Laguna. Signing on behalf of BSP is their OIC – Council Scout Executive Benito Casas and Chairman for Advancement Gerry Monteza.
Aside from engaging BSP in its programs, Laguna Water will also serve as a technical resource partner in advancing the council’s agenda towards water stewardship and community development.
