Missing 7-year-old boy found dead in Cavite river
LUCENA CITY — A 7-year-old boy who had been reported missing was found dead in a river in General Mariano Alvarez town in Cavite on Friday, May 15, police said.
In a report released Saturday, the Police Regional Office 4A said the victim, identified only as “Gamaliel,” was found floating in a river in Barangay F. De Castro at 3:20 p.m. by his relatives.

Police said the child, who reportedly had a mental health condition, had been missing since Thursday afternoon.
Authorities are continuing their investigation. As of Saturday, police classified the case as an alleged drowning incident. /das
