No destabilization plot but we know where tale is coming from – Palace

MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang on Tuesday said it is not monitoring any destabilization plot but knows where this story is coming from.

These remarks came after circulating reports of destabilization activities related to the impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte.

“Right now, we are not hearing of any plan for destabilization against the government, but even before, it hasn’t only been now,” said Palace Press Officer Claire Castro.

“We all know where that is coming from, and we also know who they want to put in power,” she continued.

Castro then advised the public to remain vigilant and cautious of fake news.

On Monday, the House of Representatives indicted Duterte on charges of corruption and constitutional violations, making her the first vice president in the country’s history to be impeached twice.

The case will now be sent to the Senate for a trial that could doom her presidential ambitions.
