St. Scholastica’s Marikina celebrates 50 years of Benedictine Education

MANILA, Philippines – St. Scholastica’s Academy Marikina is pleased to announce the celebration of its Golden Jubilee this year with the theme: “50 Years of Benedictine Education in the Ways of Peace: Building the Future”.

To commemorate the event, members of the SSAM Alumnae Association have decided to come up with fund-raising activities as a way of giving back to their alma mater.

The funds raised will be for the benefit of the scholars of St. Scholastica’s Academy, Marikina whose purpose is to create as many opportunities for learning as possible not only for the young but for the financially challenged members of the community as well.

On May 8, SSAM will host SCHOlaRUN, a fun run event featuring 10k, 5k, 3k and 1K (Kiddie Run) events. Proceeds will go directly to the scholarship fund. At least 1000 participants are expected to join the event, which starts at 5:30 a.m. and is open to the public, Registration fee is P500 inclusive of singlets, bibs and race maps. FEATURED STORIES

On July 17, there will be KULASA Wellness and Lifestyle Fair (9 a.m.- 4 p.m.).  A pictorial for digital yearbook, healthy cookfest, beauty and financial talks, dance, yoga and breathing lessons, free makeovers, mini fashion show, games,  live performances and various lifestyle vendors have been lined up for this event at the St. Scholastica’s Gym.

In the evening of July 17, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., there will be a Grand Alumni Homecoming Gala Night: to celebrate the 50 Golden Years of Benedictine Education. The evening’s highlight will be KULASA GOT TALENT, a fundraising talent show to be performed by various SSAM batches. It will also showcase 50 Proud Kulasa Awardees and Golden Jubilarians.  This event will be hosted by Amy Perez and Bing Loyzaga also at the St. Scholastica’s Gym.
