HEAT INDEX WATCH: 15 PH areas forecast to reach danger level on May 5

MANILA, Philippines — Danger-level heat indices are forecast in 15 areas across the country on Tuesday, May 5, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
Danger-level heat indices range from 42ºC to 51ºC and carry increased risks of heat cramps and heat exhaustion, which may lead to heat stroke, according to Pagasa.

Based on Pagasa’s forecast as of 5 p.m. on Monday, May 4, Dagupan City, Pangasinan, and Mambusao, Capiz are expected to record the highest heat index on Tuesday at 44ºC.
