MANILA, Philippines – The country will experience more rains as a low pressure area and the monsoon trough continue to affect the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Friday.
In its latest weather forecast, Pagasa said the low pressure area was seen 120 kilometers northeast of Basco, Batanes.
Luzon and Eastern Mindanao will have mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms with rains becoming widespread over extreme Northern Luzon, which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.
Meanwhile Visayas and Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, Pagasa said.
“Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Southwest will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the Southwest with slight to moderate seas,” Pagasa said.
